Fellow Maurice Bun organized a workshop on panel data on June 21-22 at the Amsterdam School of Economics. The aim of this workshop was to gather economists and econometricians, who are using or developing panel data methods. Because of its ability to control for unobserved heterogeneity, usage of panel data has become increasingly popular in applied economic research. However, in certain instances there still remain issues with the validity of panel data methods. Examples of these are endogenous policy interventions, dynamic adjustment processes, weak identification, non-linearity and the modeling of heterogeneous causal effects. This workshop is made possible by a financial contribution of TI and NWO. Please check the annual report 2013 to learn about the program and speakers via intranet (password protected).
