Abstract:

An agent’s conditional beliefs over a state space are represented in terms of a network of associations between various sources of uncertainty underlying the states. The model is characterized in terms of restrictions across conditional beliefs. The relationship between objective data and associations is discussed. The model accommodates a range of existing evidence from the psychology literature on judgement under uncertainty.
