Guido W. Imbens (The Applied Econometrics Professor and Professor of Economics at Stanford Graduate School of Business) will give the Tinbergen Institute Econometrics Lectures 2018: Causal Inference and Machine Learning.
Prof. Imbens’ research lies in the areas of econometrics and statistics and focuses on developing methods for drawing causal inferences in observational studies, including methods based on matching, instrumental variables, and regression discontinuity designs.
The lectures are open to MPhil, research master and PhD students as well as faculty.
