As part of the Centennial Celebration of Erasmus University, the Erasmus School of Economics organizes the European Research Workshop in International Trade (ERWIT) which will be held between June 6-8, 2013 in Rotterdam.

ERWIT is part of the activities of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) in London and is the most prestigious conference in International Trade taking place every year in Europe. ERWIT sees the very best colleagues from all over the world taking part in it either as a presenter or in the audience.

The program of the Conference will include about 16 speakers, a mixture of guest lecturers and presenters selected from the conference’s Call for Papers. At the moment, it is known that Prof. A. Deardorff (Michigan), Prof. W. Ethier (Pennsylvania) and Prof. R. Riezman (Iowa) will give lectures to celebrate Erasmus University’s Centennial Anniversary.

We also would like to express our gratitude to our sponsors for making the conference financially possible: CEPR, the Central Office and Department of Economics of the Erasmus School of Economics, Ecorys, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, De Nederlandsche Bank, the Netherlands Competition Authority and the Tinbergen Institute. Local organizers are Giovanni Facchini and Jean-Marie Viaene, and administrative support is provided by Milky Viola Gonzalez (gonzalez@ese.eur.nl).
