We examine the impact of an information experiment conducted in 63 randomly chosen Finnish high schools. Roughly 3,500 graduating students were given information on the labor market prospects related to detailed educational degrees. Our analysis exploits a national application register that covers the entire population of the students graduating from the Finnish high schools. These data contain information about the schools the students applied to, where they were accepted and where they eventually chose to go study. Similar information is available for all schools for the year prior to the treatment. Our initial results suggest that the intervention affected the applications of boys and students from low educated families.
